It’s an interesting, fun, and rewarding way to bring another culture to your family without actually having to leave home!
The programs are only short in duration, but it’s amazing how quickly you can learn a language, discover new cultures, and make new friendships with overseas students that can last a lifetime!
Hosting a student is also a great way for Australians and Kiwis to prepare for their own overseas adventures by fine tuning their language skills, pronunciation, geographic knowledge and understanding of local customs.

Safety is our priority
To ensure that inbound cultural student safety and well being remains the priority, and that excellent host family and school arrangements are always in place, Student Placement Australia New Zealand maintains the following pre-requisites:
Carefully selected cultural students must meet all the application criteria.
- All volunteer host families are screened and hold appropriate child clearances.
- Only private schools arrangement in each area are utilised.
- Cultural students, host families and schools are provided with 24/7 emergency support.
- All cultural students have overseas health cover insurance.
- All cultural students receive an orientation and welcome event upon arrival.
- All cultural students are allocated a Local Coordinator to assist their program.
- All cultural student arrangements are private and confidential.
