Au Pair USA
WORK AS AN AU PAIR IN THE USA FOR UP TO 12
MONTHS!
Do you love children? Are you eager to spend
an enriching year abroad? Do you want to experience authentic
American life as a trusted family member? Would you like to
make lifelong friends abroad?
You can make it happen, by living as part
of an American Host Family for a year through our USA partner,
EurAupair Intercultural Child Care programs (EurAupair). You’ll
help care for your host family’s children in exchange
for the experience of living as a family member in an American
household.
The Au Pair program is designed to benefit
both you and your host family. It is neither just a cheap holiday
for you nor just cheap child care for the family.
 You
will be a family member, which means you will be included in
all family activities but also be expected to help out with
laying the table, washing dishes, etc.
This is a program for adults, so you will
have the freedom to meet friends, do sports, go out in the evenings
etc., but you also have the obligation to behave responsibly
and respect your family.
As you experience how other people live,
think, and raise their children, you will discover new things
about your own life and culture. And, since your J-1 visa allows
you to stay for a “13th month”, you’ll have
a chance to travel in America before returning home to Australia. Back to the top |
