Costs and Inclusions

Cost of the Sports Scholarships USA Program 2009

What's included?
	Attendance at the 2 week International Showcase event in the USA.
	Guaranteed minimum of at least 9 Scholarship offers.
	Accommodations and meals at the host universities.
	Coaching by renowned international and American professionals in each area.
	Supervision by recognized medical staff.
	Ground transportation in the USA.
	Health insurance for the duration of the program in the USA.
	Recreational, educational, and cultural activities.
	Participation in the sports scholarships selections program.
	Uniforms for travelling and competitions.
	Travelex Visa Cash Passport Card.
	International calling card.
	GST.

If you purchase a specially discounted airfare from our travel provider, STA Travel, you will also receive:
	Free International Student Identity Card (ISIC) or International Youth Travellers Card IYTC (if eligible), which entitles you to discounts on entertainment and travel while you are overseas
	Free password protected ‘Web wallet’ which allows you to keep track of your budget and itinerary  and store important information like credit card and passport numbers, etc.

What is not included?
	Round trip transportation to the USA (SPA can obtain specially discounted fares from our travel provider, STA Travel on request)
	Passport fees
	All items of a personal nature including expenses for entertainment
	Insurance for trip cancellation or trip interruption

Travel Information

The arrival and departure airport will be MIAMI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT.  Arriving on July 9th, 2009; and leaving July 20th, 2009. On July 9th, 2009, IDEA will provide shuttle services from MIAMI International Airport to Barry University, at the following times:

• 8:00 AM.
• 1:00 PM.
• 5:00 PM.
• 12:00 AM (July 10th, 2009).

Payment Schedule              

1. A $250 deposit is required when you submit your application.
2. The balance of your program fee is due immediately upon acceptance.

Cancellation and Refund Policy:

Cancellations will only be accepted in writing and will be effective at the date received by Student Placement Australia Pty Ltd. Refunds will be made according to the following schedule:

1. If your application does not meet our eligibility criteria you will be refunded in full.
2. If you withdraw from the Program before acceptance you will lose your $250 deposit.
3. If you withdraw from the Program after acceptance:
   • but more than one month prior to departure - 75% of program fee will be refunded.
   • but less than one month prior to departure - 50% of program fee will be refunded.

   If you withdraw from the program you can also opt:

   • to apply to participate in the Study USA (Academic Scholarships USA) program and be given credit for amounts already paid
   • to participate in the next Showcase event and be given credit for amounts already paid
     
     
4. If you not receive at least nine (9) scholarship offers as described in the program terms and conditions, you will receive a 100% refund of the program fee.
